My
Philosophy
The Kopp law firm follows a simple but consistent conviction: Law must not be a privilege.
Legal representation is not a status symbol. It is the foundation of a functioning constitutional state.
When you come to me, you don't need to be able to explain your problem perfectly. You don't need to know which law applies or which deadline is currently running. You can simply tell me what happened.
My role is to figure out what is legally important, assess your situation and explain your options to you in a way that is easy to understand.
I'm not only interested in your file, for that. I'm also interested in the person behind it.
Because legal problems do not arise in a vacuum. They affect our home, our work, our family, our residency or our dealings with state institutions.
The firm specializes in:
- Tax Law
- Tenancy Law
- Labor Law
- Criminal Law
- Migration law
- social law
Tenancy Law
Is your landlord by any chance trying to raise the rent, give you notice, or withhold your deposit?
I will discuss with you how best to look after your interests.
Scriminal law
Have you received a summons, a penal order or another letter from the police or the public prosecutor's office?
I will explain to you what the letter means, what rights you have and what options are available to you.
Tax Law
Trouble with the tax office or questions about a tax issue?
Tax law can be complicated. This is especially true when a notice has already been issued by the tax office.
I will help you to understand your tax law situation and clarify how you can pursue your matter with the tax office.
social law
Has your application for Jobseeker's Allowance been rejected or reduced?
I will help you classify the decision legally and show you your next steps.
Labor Law
Have you received a dismissal from your employer? Or are there problems with your salary or your working conditions?
I will help you to categorise your situation legally and show you which steps are sensible now.
My law firm sees itself aslow-threshold legal contact point.
One law firm for everyone
The firm is open to everyone – regardless of origin, social status, gender, sexual orientation, religion or way of life.
Discrimination, exclusion and authoritarian thinking have no place here.
You do not need to be familiar with the language of the law to be in the right place here. The firm sees itself as an accessible legal contact point.
If your query does not fall into any of the mentioned areas of law, you can still get in touch.
I handle other legal areas myself upon request or refer you on to trusted colleagues.
Responsibility beyond the individual case
Solicitors and barristers bear responsibility for the community.
For me, this means not only applying the law, but also making it accessible.
For a constitutional state works best when people not only have rights, but also know how to enforce them.
